Welcome to CtashApp. By accessing our website at ctash.app or using our application, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before using CtashApp.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using CtashApp, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or application.

2. Description of Service

CtashApp is a budget calculator application that operates entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or process any personal data on our servers. All app data is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB, while your theme preference is saved using local storage.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of CtashApp, you are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your financial information entered into the app
Using the app for its intended purpose as a budgeting tool
Ensuring that your use of the app complies with applicable laws and regulations
Backing up any data you input into the app, as we do not store this information on our servers
Understanding that clearing your browser data may result in the loss of your app data and preferences

4. Intellectual Property

The content, features, and functionality of CtashApp are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on our service without our explicit permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

CtashApp is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. The use of the app is at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CtashApp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of our service.

7. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we handle data in CtashApp.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Zambia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will always post the most current version on our website. By continuing to use CtashApp after changes have been made, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

1. Adding Transactions

To add a new transaction:

Find the "Add Transaction" section on the left sidebar (or use the floating button on mobile devices).
Fill in the transaction details:
- Description: Enter a brief description of the transaction.
- Amount: Input the transaction amount.
- Date: Select the date of the transaction.
- Type: Choose whether it's an income or expense.
Click the "Add" button to save the transaction.

2. Viewing and Managing Transactions

To view and manage your transactions:

Check the top of the page to view your current balance
The transactions table shows all your entries.
To edit a transaction, click the "Edit" button next to the entry you wish to modify in the transaction row.
To delete a transaction, use the "Delete" button in the transaction row.
The table is sorted in descending order by date. You can change the sort order to ascending or unsorted by clicking on any of the column headers for columns containing transaction data.

3. Filtering and Analyzing Data

To gain insights from your financial data:

Check the "Income Total" and "Expense Total" sections for quick summaries.
To analyze period totals (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).
1. Use the date filter in the period totals section to select a start date and click the filter button.
2. If a start date is not selected, the totals will be calculated from the date of the oldest transaction.

4. Exporting Data

To export your financial data:

Click the PDF icon at the bottom of the trnsactions table to export your transactions as a PDF file.
Use the Excel icon at the bottom of the trnsactions table to export your data in Excel format.

5. Budget Management

To manage your budgets:

On mobile: Click the upward-pointing arrow on top of the add icon to reveal a wallet icon, and click the wallet icon to open the Manage Budgets modal.
On desktop: Click the wallet icon on the right side of the screen to open the Manage Budgets modal.
In the Manage Budgets modal:
- Enter a name for the new budget in the input field.
- Click "Save Budget" to create and switch to the new budget.
- View all your budgets in the list above the input field within the modal.
- Switch between budgets by clicking on them in the list.
The currently active budget is displayed in the modal and the top right corner of the balance section.

6. Managing Currencies

To manage currencies for your budgets:

Change the currency for the active budget by click on the currency code in the balance section to access the currencies dropdown menu.
Select a new currency from the dropdown to apply it to the active budget.
Each budget can be set to a different currency, allowing you to tailor your financial tracking.
When you switch between budgets, the currency for each budget will be displayed accordingly.
